Metro Ford is presenting the Fabulous Ford Weekend
July 13th & 14th @ KCIR. They are having timed and bracket races for all Fords I say we (contour SVT's) should be there to represent.
They are having a special SHOW compation for SVT's
lot's of prize money to be won. That Saturday from 5-9 they are having a cruise at Fuddruckers.
Entry fees range from $15-55 depending on what class. I don't know if there is any info on the web about it. But if you want a brochure or some info let me know or come up to Metro Ford and ask for Alex that,s Me.

Last year was pretty cool.

The lady at the gate wouldn't let me race because I didn't own a Ford.

I told her; "Thanks, but it is a Ford" cool

She scowled at me and said. "Don't lie to me!"

I laughed and told her; "Go look at the front grille." (That won't work this year; I've have to have my registration handy. :p )

She came back pissed off  and let me in... laugh

Look for great racing weather. Daytime heat 90-95 Degrees and 80% Humidity. eek
I have videos & pics from last year.

2000 SVT #674 - Check it out!

I did that last year. I don't think I have ever put that much time into my car in a 48 hour time frame!

~2 coats of swirl/paint cleaner
~4 coats of polish
~4 coats of wax
~2 coats of Carniba Yell Wax...

Mind you I also cleaned the interior, wheels, tires, etc...

My car was better than when Ford had given it to me....

Well, I never won anything for the damn event... I was kinda mad but I felt so good about how clean my SVT was!!!!!!

I will have to keep my schedual clear. Last year the car show was on Sunday so I want to see every SVT Sparklin!!!!!

I will be there this year for sure. I am going to win something or I will cut their nutz off. Okay I went to far with that, but I went there two years ago and was laughed at. I always said I would not go back, but I feel as if I get beat by a stock Lightning or stock Cobra I will have to raise hell.
