I was out in Independence last Saturday night checking out all the cars. I couldn't help but notice there were more ricers than anyting else out there. We did some racing after that at Topping and the "Flats", but there weren't any SVT's. I saw one Silver SVT pull up when it got broken up. I wanted to see him whip someone up but the pigs showed up. There was a blue lightning that waxed a turbo Supra's a$$ though. But even though I have a Stang now doesn't mean we all can't cruise right? I say let's meet up with as many people as possible and go out to Independence and show those people what us Contours,Stangs and whatever else can do. P.S. I just put NOS on my Stang so I am really anxoius to get out there. Would Saturday night be good? Give me your thoughts. Thanks Ryan.

I was out at Topping Saturday night but the helicopter broke the group up. The Lightning you saw was probably Neil. Did it have all the old mods he had on his silver Lightning? He was out there but not sure if he raced anyone. Oh and about the silver SVT Contour that was probably SilverVT on here who's name is Tom. Him and I took his car to the track Friday night and we could only get a 15.7 @ 89 MPH out of it with a fuel tank of gas. I wont be out and about for a while. I would like to take a ride in your stang with the bottle though. Hell I would love to race you with you on the bottle. Let me know what's up.

Sam-

Did you see my run on Friday night? What was the deal? My car felt like a slug. It seemed like everyone was 2-3mph slower thru the traps. I ran 5 14.9s@93mph that night. I was running like ****, but I got a ton of compliments from some domestic gearheads which surprised me (maybe because thier 95-98 GTs were a bit slower than what I was running). I saw the silver SVT run couple times and he was in the upper 15s. Is Tom kind os a skinny younger dude or is he a "huskier" looking guy with a mostly shaved head. I've met two silver SVT guys out there recently, but I can't remember thier names. I remember the skinnier guy was mostly stock and didn't have much drag racing experience. Did you see the white GS400 running? He ran one 14.7@95mph and then the motor must have heat soaked like crazy because he was in the 15.2-15.5@93mph range the rest of the night.

Dave~

I did see you out there. Yeah for some reason everyone was complaining about their times. I thought the weather was perfect, but the times show otherwise. Neil was running 13.0 @ 105 MPH in his Lightning. He was hoping mid 12's. I did see that GS400 runnen. I saw the 14 second pass but that was the last run I saw of it. Tom is the huskier one with a shaved head. Him and I were trading off and on with driving it down the track. I was trying to get your attention and made an ass of myself shouting out your name and you driving off. People were looking at me like I had no friends. frown It's all good. Hope to catch you out there soon. I might be going out there this weekend. I am going to try and get some drag radials for the Stang and see what she pulls.

I will let you take it down the strip. See what you can pull off. I bet you will scare yourself. wink

I dynoed it stock for a baseline before I added the cooler thermostat, cobra upper/lower intake, headers and MSD stuff. It pulled a 191 RWHP and 280 RWTQ.

Yep!! That me was me on Topping Saturday night. I raced Scuba Steve twice. The first time we went from a stop and I lost ( The tires wouldn't hook !!) The second, we went from a 30 mph. roll and the tires hooked and the truck ran pretty well wink ....We are all going to the track Friday as well. Hope to see some people there.
