Okay, I have read all the terrible stories about removing the resonator and the drone and rasp but I'm still gonna do it. I'm gonna be in KC the next few days so can someone recomend a good no b.s. exhaust shop here? Thanks in advance!

Midwest Muffler and Brake.

Your car will be a lot louder with the Res out. You want to have something else in place. I would try this part in place. It would not make it that much louder but make a difference in the tone.

I understand this will make it loud and raspy, I read the hundreds of post on this subject last night. The only reason I still want to do it is because at $20-40 it's a mistake I can afford to make.
Merlin, I was considering the bullet but didn't think it would be much louder. 2 questions:
1- How does a 2.5 bullet fit on 2.25 SVT piping?
2- Would it be considerably louder with a bullet for the res and no mufflers?
Also, I still need suggestions for a good exhaust shop PLEASE!

Not a prob. You have a cat back so why is it not loud enough? Just take out the Res's in the tips of your Basaini (sp)....

Bassani has no resonator except the removable tips. I have mine out and do most of the time!

Please tell me you are not going to pay someone to take those out. It takes a matter of brute force and maybe 10 minutes tops. Drop me an e-mail if you want a more detailed description.

I don't have Bassani exhaust, it was under my to do list for the car. Realisticaly thinking I don't have $500 for an exhaust so I just had my resonator removed. Went to Midwest Exhaust and Muffler, they did a good job for a resonable price. Yes it is loud now, but not shake your rear view mirror off loud like many people suggested! wink I like it and will most likely get somethig else to reduce the drone after a few months but for $35 it's a good mod untill I grow tired of it. Anyways, thanks for your help guys. I'll try to get some pics of my car up once it's clean and waxed. laugh

I liked it too. I just had to have something deeper. I was always looking for a better note out of the exhaust smile But removing the Res is a good Mod till you find what you want or all you can afford smile
