Yes, you certainly can attend both. The way they're set up is more "classroom"/instruction oriented in the morning, more test & tune/seat time for everyone in the afternoon. If you want to do the full instruction both times, you're more than welcome to. If you want to do the instruction the first time and use the second one for seat time with less of an emphasis on "here's how to autocross", don't worry about getting to the second one early. You'll still have seat time. I am working hard to bias these events toward seat-time for newbies.

No charge or registration required to watch, but everyone on site will be required to sign an insurance waiver absolving the club and the property owner of liability in the event of an injury. Standard procedure just like the drags.

Cool, that's great news! I appreciate the emphasis on seat time and am really looking forward to having someone with experience ride along with me.

Wow, what a turnout! 70 students! But Marla was the only one carrying the Contour flag...hopefully we got you some semblance of seat time. Nobody was counting on THAT much turnout. I expected 35, maybe 40 students which would have been a banner day to begin with. 70 was a shocker LOL

Are they coming again after April?
I would be interested in coming.
Thanks
Nate.

There's events right into October, beginners always welcome, but the April 20 school is the last actual specifically instructional autocross event for the year. A very unusual year with two of them.

There are also two High Performance Car Control Clinics at Heartland Park Topeka, one this weekend and one in June or July. That's a whole other ballgame, road course, higher speeds, higher cost, more tangible risk of damage and injury.

My dad and I will probabally be there. He'll be in the SVT and I'll be in my new Dakota R/T. I know, not the best autocrossing vehicle, but its all fun, so see you guys there.

There's a guy we call "Dr. Drift" and "Captain Countersteer" who does a pretty good job with his Dakota R/T so don't rule it out.
