I will race you in the tour Hiatt. You better be ready. I am sure Brian will whoop my arse but I know I can beat you so that's two tours ahead of ya. I will have a faster car than the tour in a couple of weeks so if the tour doesn't whoop ya I know my second car will. You wait Hiatt I have a secret coming.

That jetta is most definately just fwd. The VR6 is faster stock than a 1.8t. That is a 2001 wolfsburg that came stock with 150hp, I'd imagine it is chipped by apr which brings it to just over 200hp with over 260 lbs of tq. It is most definately not on 18's in the pic, those are the stock 16" bbs wolfsburg edition rims.

The engine code for that car is AWD, but it does not stand for all wheel drive, it is an engine designation just like the duratec 24v name. In the US market 4-motion is only availiable on the passat models and audi's have the haldex based quattro system. I am keeping my fingers crossed for 4-motion in the 2003 model year for the jetta about the same time the 6-speed will be availiable. There is a drivers edition gti that is going to be coming in limited numbers and early indications said it would have 4-motion, but in the end it will arrive as a 2wd.

I decided to add a pic of the stock rims on my roomate's car and let you all decide if they are the same as on the jetta in the pic...

Oh dang, Eric was just put down AGAIN!! Thanks golf, that just proved to me that Eric is always wrong when we argue. The guy I posted the pic of was on 18" rims. I can go find him on www.kcsr.org and see if we can get a stand still pic. but you are right that pic does look like the 16" rims.

I just got done chatten with James who knows the guy well and he said yes that is his 18's. The pic is just so crappy that is why. I actually just copied the pic off the film I have on CD and that is why the pic is so crappy. If you want to chat with James his screen name is Ktrends.

I am sorry but I would have to agree with Robbie on this one. Hiatt, I do not have a problem with you being a gear head and wanting to fix your problems. It is that you have an excuse for everything. You need traction, you need plugs, you need wires…and you have even posted it in the forums other than the KC section. Give it a rest.

I would sure as hell hope that you could beat me; you have 2 more cylinders, twice the displacement, and just about every mod that you can get for a 5.0. I have a 2.5L, 6 cylinders with an exhaust. That seems really fair. It is like me picking fights with a Ford Festiva. Sure I will race you. I don't care if I lose, it really isn't that big of a deal to me. I had fun racing the Viper at the track. If you don't think that we are competition then go talk some smack on the guys in the Mustang/Camero forums, I am sure that they would love to put you in your place. So just keep talking cars and stop making excuses.

Just refresh me where I posted about asking for advice other than the KC. I can't remeber where else if I even did post.

Now for excuses, what did I say? I didn't say I would not race anyone... Tuning is important for a car and it will effect the cars performance. I raced untuned. Unhappy with the results but had fun but there were other Reasons why my car did not run like it should. Excuses is a poor selection of a word to use for me. I have Reasons that can be explained about my cars performance. Do I not race the car...No, I do and it's my every day driver. I don't make excuses to not race my car. There are reasons. Just like VenomSVT said about flogging his car Saturday for WOW because the Venom was acting funny of some sorts. Do I call that an excuse..No. That is a reason why he is not going to run it. I don't back out of races agaist you guys. So VenomSVT, don't talk about excuses to me because I know you don't have excuses. We all have reasons. Unless some one what to be a smarty pants and say they do

Again the word excuses comes up. Let me correct that with Reasons.

Did I say you weren't compition? No. I don't have just about every mod for a 5.0 . As for you just having 2.5L 6 with exhaust I think you forgot to add in some of that extra power. I would love a race.

This is too funny. Hiatt I will race ya. I don't complain about my car not running right. Like when we raced you on 35 heading south, i didn't complain I was only pulling 5 lbs of boost against you. What sucks about my setup is i can only make one good run or else i am through for an hour. So if we race Hiatt I just want to for s-h-i-t's and grins. We have got to video tape it. I am trying to video tape all my races. So far I have a great video of me and a mid 13 second 454SS pickup racing from a roll and beating him by 2 car lengths. And Hiatt you think your Mustang is loud. You have got to hear this truck. Shakes the ground and your heart. Not that yours doesnt but this is just not right hearing this truck almost rattle itself a part. But Hiatt let's race this weekend if I have my car back. This will be for fun. If you win then you win. I am not going to have a pissing match about this. I want a Mustang so bad and you just make me want one more. So let's do it up for fun. Oh yeah you will be out of town right? Well what about Thursday night? weather permitting. Then we could send it to Greg (DemonSVT) and see if he can get it on a disc somehow. Then post it on Pics and Videos. Remember though this race of ours will have to be an hour apart from eachother. Got to make full boost.
