I'm going to be driving to Road America in Elkart Lake, WI for the American LeMans series race over the July 4th weekend. Anyone here going to this event? I'll be meeting a friend thats driving in from NYC and we'll be camping out. www.roadamerica.com for more info.

Elkhart is a great race track from a spectator's point of view. I didn't get the chance to run on the track so I can't speak on that topic. We saw the indy cars run out there! You just don't realize how fast those things are until they fly by you at 200 mph 30 feet away! If you haven't been there before there's lots of great spots to watch from but your going to have to do some walking. Or you can rent a golf car for about $45 a day. I've got some good pictures for that outing. Oh sorry I've gone way off topic! Wish I could go but I'm going on vacation the next week! Have a great time!

I don't think I'll go out to Indy this year. The championship has just about been decided in Schumachers favor and my buddy Nate and I decided to try somewhere new. It was either Mid-Ohio or Elkart. The clincher was the fact that I'm going to be doing some mountain biking near Kettle Moraine for a few days after the race.  Next year I think we are going to try and go to Montreal for the G.P. though.

Bicycle, I think you misunderstood me. I said I saw the Indy cars race at Elkhart. I'm not a big roundy round guy. I like the road courses and GP tracks!

I'll be there on Sunday only. At the Audi corral outside turn 14. Won't have the SVT there, will have one of the Audis.

RT - I was responding to Perry. I met him last year (along w/Lance, Rara, Silver Snake) in Indy when I was there for the Grand Prix.  I might not bring my 'tour even though I spent $500 on tires today. I NEED to bring my bike and the camping gear, and my Jetta has a nice roof rack that would make the trip easier. I need to fix the two exhaust leaks that car has along with add a stereo... not sure yet though which car I'm bringing.

It is a very good possiblity I will be there for at least one day. I live right buy the kettle moraine forest where you are going mountain bikeing. Which camp ground are you staying at Nagawicka, or Otawa have great beach's. Also Krause are you related to Kyle Krause who lives in Wales?
