If you were to choose one car or the other, I'd say definitely keep the Toyota. As a professional mechanic, I know that Fords always break down a lot more than Toyotas ever do. Plus, if you own a Contour, you need to have a second car around anyways, because as often as they break (judging from all the reader's postings here in these Contour forums), you would save a lot, in rental car fees by having alternate means of transpo. Just hanging around this forum for a couple of weeks lately (as I have), I'm getting scared of what is to come for me and my Contour (105,000mi). If I added up all of the common problems that people here seem to be having with their cars, it would add up to the amount (worth in repairs) that I still owe on my '95 SE ($3500). And I can even do all my own repairs, but I still worry! I guess I've been fairly lucky with my car (only broke a few times), but maybe I ought to just get out from under it (while the gettin out's good), but the problem is, whenever I drive it, all those worries just tend to fade away, as I fall back into the spell of the car's excellent handling. Like a big catch 22 if you ask me. But as long as I still have my other truck, I will probably keep this darn paradoxic wonder
