Back up a second. We need details here, who, what, when, you know the ususal. I was on 119th and I-35 a couple of times today, but don't remember racing anybody.

Going off of your screen name, you have a 98 SVT? But you were driving a Miata, just curious.

Where abouts in Olathe you live? Drop me an e-mail and we'll talk.

Did it have a custom licience plate along with tinted windows and 4' tips on it??? Louder than a stock svt. If so that is my buddy. He doesn't really stop light race at all. If he did I am surprised smile

Let me know.

The race occurred at approximately 8:00 pm on 119th getting onto 35 South. The SVT looked stock and performed as expected. He pulled ahead by about a car and a half by the time we hit 45. At that time we both let off since, I would assume, we both knew the SVT would walk away on the highway.

My SVT is a black 98 all stock. I think many have seen it at one of the dyno sessions in KCKS. I also have a red Miata and a burgundy Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Since I bought the Miata, I've been curious how it would fare against the SVT. Off the line it seems almost as quick, but I have long suspected that my SVT is weaker than most.(That's a different story)

Eric - I live in the southwest, crappy part of Olathe. Send me an email skaggsj@swbell.net .

You don't happen to live in an apartment complex just west of 35 on 119th do you? I was getting out of my car with a couple of girls for a party over there. Some one in a nice black svt stoped, looked at my silver svt and told me "nice car". Just wondering because my car was the talk of the party after they did that. I was smiling from ear to ear cool the whole night, till the cops came and busted it up. frown

Merlin - You're right, it has been forever. I've been meaning to get to one of the get togethers, but have found it difficult to make the time.

Norman - That wasn't me, but I too have seen another black SVT in the Olathe area. Perhaps they are one in the same.

It was a younger guy. I was stepping out of my car so I'm not sure about the racing thing. He did take off quite fast. I couldn't get a very good look at his car because it was very dark. It did look like he had aftermarket rims.

btw, I like the pictures of your car. Was that your car with the gauges? Those gauges are awesome. I wish I had a digital camera. I plan on ordering new wheels, tires, springs, struts, and a weapons R intake this week. I need to take some before and after pictures. Do you have any suggestions of a good tint shop? I can't stand not having my windows tinted. I got my truck done at Auto Glass and Tint Shop. They did a good job, but were kind of expensive.

Midwest Tint off of Shawnee Missin Pkwy did mine and they did an excellent job. They have been there forever, so you know they are stable. E-mail me and I will give you some more details that I would rather not share here laugh! I think that is where Baron takes all of their cars, that was a good enough reference for me!
