Heloo ya'll,

Well, it looks like I will be moving to the metropolis of San Angelo in the next couple of months. Austin is some 2 hrs closer than Dallas, so I guess that I will become a member of this forum since there is no San Antonio forum. The only thing I can say is I can't wait to get to a place with better roads than D@MN Monterey, CA!! Texas and flat roads here I come!

What about Laguna Seca, Los Laureless grade or
River road? Dolan rd?
The one thing that I took for granted was Ocean
View Blvd.
I really miss that beach and the clean air.

THose Places are great for a nice weekend drive)I prefer Hwy 1 S between Carmel and Big Sur), but when You have to drive on Fremont, Franklin, Del Monte and Alvarado every day w/ my suspension, it gets really old.

Welcome to the area (in advance). When you finally get here, PM me and I'll give you info on good road trips. The Texas "Rolling Hills" country is beautiful and has some fantastic curves!

Though not many people participate on this site, there a bunch of CSVT in the area and a few race at a local strip. If your interested, I'll PM you the directions.

Have a safe trip from Cali laugh

Thanks For the Hospitality Monkey,
As a Native Tennesseean born and Raised I like how you refer to San Antonio in your Location. Are there any road courses in the surrounding Area? The Zetec can hold its own on the strip but I really prefer curves when I drive fast smile

There are few SCCA events in the area. Between Dallas(3 hr drive), Houston(2 hr), and Corpus Christi(2 hr) there's always something going on. But as far a dedicated road coarse, no that I no of, but I'll lock around. There my be some private coarses.

When does DLI start for you in S.A.?

I already graduated from DLI here in Monterey, i will be attending follow-on training at Goodfellow AFB (San Angelo) abour 2hrs away from San Antonio? SCCA events would be good, but yes A place where ican go and run a few laps every other weekend would be great.

Edit: my couse starts sometime in early June, but I should be there in early May...dumb Army

Hey, I'm stationed at Lackland. Went through DLI and Goodfellow. Russian. What language are you in OhSigmaChi? sprmonky if you left a note on a black CSVT a while back that was mine...I went on leave for a while which is why you haven't heard from me. Well, everybody have a good day, and have a safe trip from Cali.
