Ok you guys. I have a 1996 Contour SE. It says it have 170hp stock. So every add on i do it is just a guess of how much
it adds to my car. My car is a 2.5 v-6 24v DOHC. So why is it that the SVT is the same size engine, but has 200hp and mine
only has 170hp. What can i do to my car to boost the hp alitttle so i can run with the stv.

alot of reason why the svt has 200 (cams, extrude honed heads and intake, higher compression pistons, better air filter system *(stock) better exhaust, lighter flywheel, 19lb injectors, better program on computer)

You are not at 190hp. you are guessing way to high for the mods you have on there. but there is a list so start moding !

the stats on performance products are usually heavily inflated to boost sales (especially on intake, exhuast, and chips)....and btw, its 170 hp at the crank, not the wheels...
