I'm wondering what the minimum thickness of front SVT brake rotors is. I only have specs for the non-SVT ones. Mine are out of round by about 4 thou and I need to know whether I can have that turned down or not. I have yet to measure the thickness of my rotors, but once I know the spec, I will.

Thanks in advance.

The minimum thickness is cast into the rotor, near the hub. Mine reads 22.2 mm. I think yours will too.

My ford service CD qoutes "New brake disc nominal thickness" at 24.15mm or .95 inches and "Worn Brake disc discard thickness" at 22.2mm or .87 inhces.

For the rear it says new is supposed to be 20mm or .79 inches and discard thickness is at 18mm or .71 inches

If you need any thing else, i have most torques, and specs listed here...

it says this very loudly, so i thought i'd post it too " *When the discard thickness/diameter has been reached install a new brake disc or drum. Particular care must be taken when refinishing brake discs/drums that they are not below the minimum thickness or maximum diameter
dimensions."
