hey guys, i just got back from LACR, and as the newbie driver i am, i ran 16.3 with my stock 1998 SVT. I was told to deduct .4 from the time due to the elevation of the track, so i basically ran 15.9. Anyone remember your times when you ran your cars stock?

you will have to deduct more than that from LACR....
That is my home track, and since it is so high (3000ft) and the track is ****ty (with a head wind) you can deduct .6-.7 from your times.
I ran a 16.8 when I first bought my Cougar bone stock and with no track experience (i.e. 2.4-2.5 60ft times)... With Intake/Headers/Exhaust I got my times down to 15.77 and I have since added larger injectors, SVT TB, SVT UIM, and a custom Diablo Chip. I hope to hit 15.2s with a gutted interior....... But I wont have a chance to run the car again until late summer.....

15.09 @ 91.54(corrected, pre-SVT conversion, DiabloChip, and Injectors)

I really don't like Palmdale, I couldn't get my SVT to run anything faster than 16.xx
Then when I went to Carlsbad, my fastest run was a 15.0
This was back when I had the 2.5L

Fontana is around 1200ft elevation, no where near sea level. the only sea level track in SoCal is Carlsbad and it too is a pretty crappy track. But you will run considerably faster tims at Carlsbad than at LACR, but not as fast as if we had a halfway decent sea level track somewhere near L.A.
The next time any of you CSVT guys decides to come up to LACR, send me an email. I live like 15 minutes away from the track. It would be nice to see a fellow Duratec owner there.... See if any of you can beat my 15.77 time I set last August in 92 degree heat.....
