I have a little history with Galpin. My ex-wife, long ago, bought a '79 Mustang at Galpin. It developed a transmission problem. "No problem," she said, "I have an extended warranty." We found out that she had bought an extended warranty from Galpin, NOT Ford Motor Company. We had to take it to Galpin to get it fixed. Galpin wasn't too happy to fix the transmission. We had to fight about it, but they ended up fixing the car.
That whole experience has made me very leary about going to Galpin for service.
If I can find an honest independent shop closer to work than that, it would make my boss much happier.
Otherwise, I will take the morning off some time soon and just take my car to Bob's Alignment in Thousand Oaks. [I've always had good treatment from them.]
Thanks for your reply.
Mike
