I had to do one last fall and it cost me about $55 CDN at the Ford dealer. The reason? About 2-3 months earlier, I beat a little too much on the rotor trying to get it off. I ended up cutting it off. Saved the other bearing by cutting the other rotor off too. Man do they seize on there. A shop press would be the way to go but is not necessary. I used a heat wrench (torch) to take the bearing off the hub. This is something you have to know how to do to not heat up or damage the hub. It's definately not an easy job changing a wheel bearing on these cars. REMEBER: WHEN YOU BEAT ON YOUR ROTORS, YOU'RE ALSO BEATING YOUR BEARINGS and that's why everyone's now replacing bearings.
