Can anyone recommend a good dealership in the Orange County/Irvine area for warranty work? I need to get my power steering leakage fix.
Also, yesterday... I was cruising in 4th gear @ 45mph and put the SVT in neutral to coast to a stop and... suddenly my car dies!!! Just like somebody turned off the ignition while I'm travelling at 40mph. What's the %*@! is wrong with my car? Has anyone have this happen to them? David, do you know what would cause this? Thanks.

The best guys I ever dealt with are Sunset Ford in Garden Grove. Kinda far for you, but I think it's worth it. Tell the runner with the red SVT Nick says hi.

definately sunset ford..I'm biased cause I'm friends with the owner and get everything free there :-P watch for your car out the doors of the waiting room..I noticed mine take off for a joy ride and back then they came in saying the brakes would take a while cause they had to cool down..go figure..but it was free so I'm not complaining

Oh yeah, when you pull up WATCH OUT FOR THAT RAIN GUTTER!!! You'll never see it, but it will trash your front end if you go too fast.

Fairway Ford in Placentia. They do everything I ask them to, no questions or hassles.
My SVT side skirts had some "bulging" where they met the body, I asked if they could fix or replace them. Somehow, they made them perfectly flush again. Most dealers would give you crap about fixing something so trivial. I go to Fairway every time I need service, it's where I bought my SVT too. Good guys in Service over there.

Well... took my car to Tuttle Click Ford in Irvine Auto Center, cause it was close to me. They did an okay job. They've fixed the leaky power steering pump, replaced pump and new fluid. But they weren't able to figure out the idling/stalling problem that I had. I'll give Tuttle Click a 3 out 5 stars. They're okay. Took 3 days to get my car back.
Car is running fine. I've fixed the stalling problem myself, after an extensive search on that topic in here. I've found an easy fix: unplug the battery overnight and let the car reprogram itself. Seems to work, no stalling when cruising in neutral so far. Keeping my fingers cross. Hey smp... give that a try.

I used to get my work done at Huntington Beach Ford. They, too, are iffy. Though my last work done before the warranty was up was Front brake rotor replacement. The guy was able to swing new rotors under warranty for "premature wear". Kinda appreciated that one.
On a bad note, they ding'ed my front bumper one time. I took it back to the manager, and not only did they fix it in time for my wedding, but they totally detailed the exterior and had the car looking sweet for the honeymoon.
All in all - 4 out of 5 service, but the quality of the work is 3 out of 5.

Okay STAY THE FCK AWAY FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH FORD!!! When my trannie blew, it took them 2 months to get it done. WTF? It never worked exactly right until Vadiem was kind enough to fix it. Sunset Ford says their trannie guy has a rep for bad work. Opps. Too bad for me for blowing up right in front.

The SVT Cobra Club of Southern California supports the Ford Auto Center (a joint venture between Ford and Tuttle Click) in the Irvine Spectrum off Bake and Irvine Center Drive. Ask for Eric Cheney, a real gear head who loves Ford SVT products. Another hot place is Chicane Motorsports in Torrance for mods! Joe is great!
