as you can see i read more than i post, i tried this at FC and found it difficult, maybe i am dumb, but that is what it is. if this site goes down i'm looking for an acura RSX. the only reason that i still have my ford contour is because of this site and its people's commitment to making a car that is dismissed largly by aftermarket companies great and unique and better. i will donate money to keep the site in operation not because i need it, but because it has given something to me and i feel the need to give back, a paysite will fail without porn,(welcome to the internet) and banners don't pay enough. give the people an address and i think you will see that contour owners and visitors to our site will repay the hard work that all of you have put in. i am willing to put my money where my mouth is and feel that i am not alone in this. if all else fails i thank all of the people who try to keep the site clean and useful to people like me and all of the other people who are so obviously concerned about the welfare of the site that has served us so well.

I hear your point MV, but I fail to see your reasoning about FC.Org? Dumb? Failed? I'm curious?

You live in Ohio - There's more than 30 members in their Ohio Contour Group, (I'm not one though, not from Ohio) but reading all the info on the group on FC.Org and you need help? Plus the fact the whole FC.Org site is based from people that live IN Ohio... lol. Are you seeing where I'm going with this?

If you don't feel comfortable with responding on here PM me, cause no matter what happens with CEG the other sites still exist. Praying and donating aren't going to help - Search other posts made by Lance and others about it.

I must not have been around long enough... what is the with the hostility between the two sites? I guess I don't my CEG history as well as I should. I always was a slacker when it came to studying. laugh [/b]
FC.org was born out of someone getting all butthurt.[/b]
That's real cute, but if some people didn't fashionably wear their head up their asses - And people like you didn't gossip and make up stories like little school children maybe FC.Org would be willing to come together.

Boohoo. I touched a nerve.

I've heard that FC.Org and MEG might join together to create something cool - Looks like CEG is going to be left out because of it's members alone, judged by the idiotic, prejudiced and mis-informed members and here-sayers that make it up. I wonder why I don't ever post here, it's good for a laugh when people that don't have a clue open their mouth and talk stuff about a subject that no one knows anything about.
Good for them.

Like Lance said, he does not want CEG to become a business. This is a hobby and pleasure for him, and that's what I gather is his meaning. To FC.Org and MEG it's business - So you tell me who's more serious about being there for the members? Donate, donate, donate - Please. Donations are a crutch that will only help for so long.

Oh, I guess the fact that Lance runs this site out of his love for the Contour and not for the love of money means he doesn't give a **** about the other members.

Memberships will cure the short term problem but as members here sell their cars and move on - The battle for new memberships drops off and the site goes away.

I haven't owned a Contour in over a year. I'm on my second non-contour car. I'm not going anywhere. There's plenty of people here that no longer own Contours and are still here. Hell, some guys never owned Contours in the first place!

Make fun of FC.Org. Go ahead - But when it's still here because it's making money because it's owner is being capatalistic - and also working with other Ford sites to make a great community for owners (Don't cry me a river)!
Just because your making money doesn't mean your going to last forever. Just ask Enron.

P.S. Can anyone even tell me the event that started FC.Org? I asked the source and got the right info... How many of you know?
What's this source you speak of?

Well said Packrat. And for the record, I too am a former owner (sold her over a year ago) and have no intentions of leaving.

Yeah - It's cynacism like that that gets posts locked einstein. I was looking for serious discussion here - Not assbabble that I could've heard from flatulating myself.

Duh? What do you think the other sites were put up for? Making a million dollars? Hardly - Short minded fool.

Yeah - Well the only help you are now is being a troll and disrupting a good conversation - So why don't you stroll the VW to VWVortex.com hippie.

Wise one huh? Looks like Enron is coming back. And absolutely no one starts an "enthusiast" site to make money, that would be a waste of time.

Source? The only source for real truth. The one the only Cardoctor. Who else? God?

Duhh... Stupid questions get stupid answers. Ever hear that before?

Ratchie, will you stop trying to pimp FC.org on all of us here? You keep on telling us how great it is and how CEG is going to eventually die. Somehow the people of CEG will figure a way to keep this site running. As for FC.org I hope they last just as long, I just rather not go there. So please stop telling everyone how great the other site is on how we should all go over there.

For **** sake Ratchie, stop causing friggin arguments will ya ?? We know fc.org exists, if we want to go over there, I'm sure most of us are well capable of redirecting our browsers ..... ok?

BTW, coming on here and calling someone a fool isn't the best way to make friends.

Also, if Cardoc is "The only source for real truth" (your words), why don't you save us some bandwidth and piss off over to fc.org, for good and leave us to our "lies"..

Comprende ?

And FWIW, I wish fc.org and the MEG the very best of luck in whatever they decide to do, lest you think I'm being partisan here.
