OK....for all that come after me, and also for my self, WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY!!? Car on, Car Off? Take the damn thing off the car? leave it on? spray it in ? spray it on a cloth and wipe? use paper towels? use terry cloth? stall the car? rev it while spraying? i've read so many damn search results that i am extremely confused confused confused ....let us never have to speak about how to clean it after this post.

Take it off the car (easy). Spray it down with carb/TB cleaner. Wipe it with a shop towel. Ignore all warnings about the "coating" - it's there to keep carbon buildup down and doesn't work worth a poop. Otherwise, cleaning the TB wouldn't be a concern, now would it?

sweet....is it necessary to clean upper/lower intake man with only 43K?

Oh, and i couldn't find a new gasket at two part places, so what should i do to perserve the old one?

i've never tried it but some have cleaned there upper and lower intakes as soon as 40k i believe and have found reason to do so once they opened everything up

maybe u could check out a local ford mis-dealer for the part of get in touch with bill jenkins thru this site
