ok - so since i'm moving to Cameron Park i'll be in the 530 area code, but MOST of my calls will be made to the 916 area code for work, etc...
are those calls all long distance? if so, who's the best carrier for cheap inter-state long distance?

I gots to think "The Neigborhood" plan by MCI would be your best bet. My Mom has it and its pretty darn cheap. $50 for local and unlimited long distance service. Includes your telephone line + call wait + caller ID + all long distance 24/7/365. Call go off a repeater like cell calls so thye are not always the most crisp, but for a flat $50 how can you complain. Not sure if DSL will work with it tho

Not sure if DSL will work with it tho i already have a cell phone silly man! i get unlimited long distance, just sometimes i don't like to use the cancer causing cellphone for long distance calls  know what i mean?

This is not a Cell plan, it is a all encompassing phone service plan that covers all your costs.
$50/ flat fee per month for everything@!@!
