The spark plug just came out for the second time in the same cylinder. Am I missing something here? Can this really be a problem with the spark plug itself? The threads look fine.

I am tired of having to walk home and leave my car in a parking lot.

I say 5 cylinders is better than none, just drive it anyway

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet. When toast is dropped, it always lands butter-side-down. I propose to strap buttered toast to the cat's feet, butter facing up. The two will hover, spinning, inches above the ground. With a giant buttered-toast/cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

how does it just come out? like you pulled it out? or it unscrewed?
i'm lost

good luck with it though. I'm amazed you still have the car after all you've gone through.

Like I heard that damn popping noise when I started the car up, popped the hood and the end of the spark plug is probably lying about 1/4 inch in the head at an angle eek

sounds like the person who said that your socket was stripped was right.. either that, or your mechanic needs to learn the "Righty tighty, lefty loosey" rule.... You may want to check to see if he screwed in the bloddy thing next time....

Personally, I'd put a clean finger into the hole that the spark plug goes into, and see if there are any threads there for the plug to grab onto... or use silly puddy to make an impression....

Seeing how you are so mechanically inclined, why don't open your damn hood and check them with a spark plug socket. Its not rocket science ya know! Almost as easy as checking your oil...no wait, you don't do that either?!
