I need to get my 30k maintenance service done on my SVT and I am wondering where are some good places on the peninsula for service. I want to do all the regular stuff (oil, flush fluids, etc.) but this time I want to get the 'tranny cocktail' done and some other work. Would I be better off going to a dealer or a local shop?
Thanks guys.

There's a pretty good shop in San Carlos (I think, could be redwood city) called 'Bermico Auto'. They did a few things for me. But if you want tranny work done, there's another guy in Redwood City... but I forgot his name, I'll try to look it up.

There is also a pretty good shop called "performance fords" in campbell, don't know exactly where you live so i don't know how far away it is.

I live in Belmont, but I am willing to drive to the South Bay.

I checked with the local Towne Ford dealer yesterday just for comparison...They want $470 for everything! I could probably get it down to $3xx if I supplied the parts, but that's just ridiculous!
I've decided to do some of the smaller stuff like the cabin filter myself on my own time, but I am still interested in some good shops.
