I have one comment on this...

If you're going to post threads like the BJ Etiquette one, at least put a disclaimer in the thread title -- something like "for immature adults only", or "".

You may find it surprising that some of us that browse the forum might find this type of post offensive. It is much easier for us to not have the read the first three lines, get disgusted, then close the thread.

I don't have a problem with posts like this existing. I do, however, have a problem with them not disclosing the adult-oriented topic.

The justification that people see things on TV that are worse, that the average age for losing one's virginity at 16.8 years, etc., is pretty lame. Sounds like the "Everyone else is doing, so why shouldn't I?" response, which I consider the ultimate in irresponsibility.

The BJ post should not have been made here, regardless. This forum is about our cars, right? Save the off color stuff for another forum, or, like one other member stated, put a disclaimer on it.

1st. point; if mysticali isn't offended, and is pissed off about the post being locked, then it can't be THAT offending smile

Lance, you do have a point, a warning in the title should probably be put there in the future, but that is at the discretion of the poster. And I would hardly describe someone else's humor as "immature" simply because it is not to your liking.

Valcor, look at the other regional forums, you will find that a good percentage of the posts are guys just talking. That's the reason we can post sttuff like that here, we more or less know each other, and don't ALWAYS need to talk about cars. I mean come one at the meets do we ONLY talk about cars?? No we don't, just mostly about cars smile

You guys should take a trip across to england where there are bare breasts in the newspapers and car magazines, and at midnight their equivalent of FOX shows girls stripping. You'd probably faint!

Actually, these types of posts are not acceptable AT ALL in my book. C'mon guys, these are Contour forums! There are plenty of other venues on the Internet where you can posts these things. This is NOT the place. If you don't like it, you can leave.

British Banger, you made some good points on this topic. But, I must admit, I've been visiting this forum more often lately, just to keep up with the "controversey". laugh If I were to make a post like the BJ one; I would put a warning in the title, then place a link to click on in the body of the message. That way the reader has a choice to click, or not to click, to read whatever. That way, the offending factor would be much lower. I can imagine someone getting really annoyed when their 9-year old daughter asks them about BJs because she read about it here. But wait! Bill Clinton took care of that already didn't he? He made BJ a dinnertime conversation topic!
