1 right hand hwy entrance + getting on the gas = oil starvation and thrown rod  Sucks!!!!!! I'm hoping it is still covered under the powertrain warranty.

Yeah it is scary, I always thought I would be ok, but I guess not. Not covered under warranty. Looks like I have some thinking to do on the Contours future.

Nope no warranty. It was down in Sunnyvalle. About a good 5 second on ramp to 101 from 237. I was following an A4. Needless to say I bet he is not having the same problem right now!

If you need help finding another engine I know of a place in La that sells SVT engines with a warranty.

James thanks James. I'm supposed to get an estimate tomorrow. Not sure if I wrecked the block or not. It seized up but not all the way. It would still turn over, just wouldn't start with that knock in there. By the way, are you all back together now?
