Heya again everyone,
I was wondering if anyone in this group has swapped out their original computer control chip for either the Superchip, or a Diablo Chip. If so, could you tell me how easy it was to do, if you had to go to a shop to get it programmed, which shop you went to, etc. etc. etc...
I'm also looking for a definative choice of which chip is better (I searched, and didn't find concrete proof that one is better than the other)

I have a '95 with a Super chip. I like the improvements. I have heard mixed results about chips in the SVT. Do a search and research on the topic before unloading money.

Hey, im selling my neighbors chip for him, its a superchip, he had a 99 svt that was totalled, it was totalled cuz cosmetically was too expensive to repair, e mail me with your vehile code, the one on the passenger side. greensvt@msn.com im in campbell, san jose, ca.

Talk to Stinger00...I think he has a superchip. He said there was a pretty good improvement if I recall correctly.

Hey- I have a Superchip. Did wonders for me. I still can't launch for **** at the strip, but I improved my trap speed by 2mph. Takes 5 minutes to install once you know where it goes. I secured mine with tape 'cause it kept comin out. Find out what code you have and do a search. Best way of finding out if it's worth it or not. SFG2 is a good one

Thanks for all the great info, people. I guess my next step is to find out my engine code (easy to do, but not while I'm at work).
hey greensvt, please email me about how much you would be willing to sell the chip to me for (though I am really leaning toward the Diablo chip)...

hey TKW89, the code on the super chip says MNQ2, open your front passenger door, the code is along the body frame. he paid 250 for it, he's willing to sel it for $180. let me know, 408-718-1756.

Are you sure on this location? On mine it was underneath the dash near your feet, and the code was on the computer itself not the body frame.
