you need a spring compressor.

be careful, its very dangerous if you dont know what you are doing.

Myself and a new CEG'er up here at Travis AFB dropped our cars over the weekend. You definitely are going to need somebody to help you. You are going to need spring compressors(we did it without them, but I wouldn't suggest it), a 32mm axle socket, several different size sockets and end wrenches, a 6mm hex key, a pickle fork for the ball joints, some Torx sockets, a persuader of some sorts(5 pound sledge works good), Liquid Wrench, lots of patience, and about 8 hours of free time. The job is not for the faint of heart. You can e-mail me off line at matthew.hoberg@travis.af.mil if you have any questions. If you decide to do it let me know, maybe we can work out some technical expertise for you!

That is very cheap mystiCali. Wasn't there a small problem with yours? Like one side was higher than the other? Did you ever get that fixed?

Josh, what shop did you get these done at?

GF needs new rear struts in her Sable and she is getting quoted like $225 for two! I think its a little high.

Many thanks,
Christopher

I just referred Forrest to the same place and he got quoted $85 for the 2 front struts + alignment.

Hey erich, you finally lowered it?!!!!
Cool

It only cost me $50 to install my H&R's, at my friends shop. I cut the springs myself before that...they lasted like 1 year, there werent any problems, but I just wanted to make sure...

Nick,

Ya, I finally got around to it. I had to talk myself into doing it. I like the H&R's because it still feels pretty stock in everyday driving. My buddies Intrax's are actually lower, but his ride is a lot rougher. We might be going to the 22nd meet if you want to carpool. Let me know!!
