Hey all I just wanted to let you all know, that the n.cali CEG has fomaly been invited to the next VW meet, I talked with the founder yesterday at our drive and well he said we are always welcome! I must say that this was the best car club meet I have ever been on we had about 35 to 40 VW's and 1 SVt contour "rastmahal" from the CEG. We did a 12 hour run, with breaks in the middle all day of course but it was soooo much fun!! I can't wait till the next meet and you are all invited so please come out to reprisent you will never look at driving the same ever again. Now I know it is not for all cause well there is no Crazy Driving no show boating, but I must say there gruppe has changed alot!! and I thought it was orginized before, SHoot these guys started out the day with a driver meeting, somthing we need to do. first off with the rules, , nothing really big just respect all other drivers on the road no passing on the side,"it is unsafe. If you want to drive fast you go in the front, if you are just wanting to cruise you stay towards the back, every one has a radio, I mean EVERYONE> they have relay points in the middle of the pack and at the back to make sure every one stays with the pack, we drove very fast and very hard yet very safe, we had a mapped route with a list of the days events! yes events, it was sweet. we broke for lunch at one point where half the gruppe went on a tour of a light house and the rest had lunch, then we met up again made sure every one was with us and then we went on the last trek of our drive, which ended up at point Reyes beach where we set up for a bon fire and roasted marshmellows and hotdogs, played on the beach for a while waited for the sun to go down and then packed up for the end of the drive " and night drive home" I have never been on a night drive before but I must say it was a blast. I would like to encourage all of you that are still reading this and think this kind of day sounds fun for you to come out to the next meet, I will be posting more as the monht goes on of times and places to meet if there is an interest!!
