The review is for the Euro "Type R" not the same as the U.S. "Si". However, the Si would've faired worse in the review with lower horsepower, a different suspension, and smaller wheels and tires.
I did own a 2000 Civic Si before I moved up to a 2k SVT. The 2k Si was a great car and alot of fun to drive. But the SVT is a much more substantial car.

The new Si got away from its roots too much. I dislike it as a hatchback. The previous Si was nice despite not having ABS available.

I like the older Si. But the older ones had even less torque.

[shrug] to each their own....but i have to say that it is nice to read a review that doesn't sound like it came from the manufacturer's publicists.

My pre 98 Contour is definately not the most beautiful car on the road but she looks as good as an 18 year old virgin on prom night next to that design. Looks like they copied the Focus and rounded everything off. I'll agree the euro spec R isn't too shabby looking.
