My 95 se has developed a small leak around the oil pan, Probably just a worn gasket. So my brother calls Advance to get HIS(business discount) price and they told him $100 he almost fell off his stool! Does this sound reasonable, she just turned 100k and runs like a champ I really want to take care of this before it causes problems, especially with all the warnings about oil levels in the duratechs.
95 Teal Se 5 spd,duratech, loaded(except moonroof) no mods.

They had to have looked up the wrong part number or something... That's waaaaaaaaaaaaay over priced, even for Advance.

If that is installed sounds good. If it is just the part it is crazy.

It sounds like the gasket AND the oil pan.
98.5 SE Sport badgeless, MTX, KKM, SVT exhaust with resonator intact. 1985 Z51 Vette with many mods. Only used when the Tour appears to be outclassed.

Its not both, but it sure is more expensive to be just the gasket. Call Bill Jenkins, that's where I got mine from. I forget how much, but not that bad.

Check back with them and tell them you only want the oilpan gasket. I bet that is an entire lower gasket set, thats not what you want.

Gasket may be your second problem, the first is who is going to change out that pan? That is quite a bit of work!
