I'm still shaking from that little mishap! But yes that drive was awesome...definitely the hardest I have EVER pushed my car.

Suspension was awesome!
Tires were CRAP!!!! (Don't buy Dunlop's!!!!)

Da*n that was a kick a** drive. definately the most fun i've had so far in my 'tour. pity the far north peeps could't find a way to join in. hopefully they all read this and try to make the next one. 115+ down hwy 1. phsyco ford owners. rice drivers beware. hey, did anyone else see the blue R34 skyline? thats right everyone, i said SKYLINE. when i pulled on to 280 about 5 cars back was some little prick in an R34 with a motorex badge on the back. first time i'd ever seen one on the road. and only the second one i've ever seen. thought maybe he had gone past you guys when you were waiting near that restaurant.

Chris & Sandra thanx for an awesome drive. see ya next time.

Bill

well I'm glad you guys had fun, but that's exactly the reason I couldn't come... 115?!?

c'mon guys, be safe!!!

I don't want to see posts like this on our boards http://forums.clubsi.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/009271.html http://www.fox11.com/stories/headlines/010425/8.asp

don't want to bring you guys down, but I'd rather be an adult and warn instead of read about reality...

there were 2 hondas that were doing 90mph about 1/4 mile from my house last weekend and they both "bought it", lifeflight and everything....

I know I wasn't there to enjoy the thrill, but please be smart..

Yeah I don't know about 115mph. I would say that most of it was limited by traffic on the road. More like 80-85 with a few fast sprints while passing so we could try to stay together. Still very fun though, on the other hand, I was towards the back so I wouldn't couldn't say how fast the lead dogs were going, but I didn't see anything too crazy until we got into the hills. My stock springs and struts got too much roll on them to keep up in the twisties. Those guys can really haul. Guess that will be the next upgrade.

hey Toadster, thank you for the words of reason, and your absolutely right. So let me explain, 115 was briefly attained AFTER passing a slower moving vehicle on an open stretch of hwy 1 in order to TRY to catch up to lead pack. didn't mean to make it sound like we are all reckless fools. i want to emphasize that marshallc who organizes our drives stresses safety before fun. most of us are pretty familiar it seems with triple didget speeds (ie. fun @ 120 posted 5/9)and we seem to know when and where we can do it/ get away with it. but you're right and anything can happen anywhere. so thank again for the concern.

Bill
