http://www.corral.net/Tragedies/StreetRacing/02050201-Sacramento Well, sad story - reinforces the "dont race on the street" message. But anywAY, come on - maybe you could confuse a Contour and a newer escort, but do we look anything like the Tempo?

Just goes to show you what too much of an ego will do for you. Keep it on the track! It's not worth it to really race someone like that. I can understand trying to pass someone on the highway, but, racing on city streets is illegal for A REASON.
Getting my car wrapped around a tree isn't the kind of reward I'd be looking for in a race

well..i raced a talon last night...mtx vs atx (me)blew him away...but it was 11:30pm, and we were at the quite part of 10th av (main street)...so there wasnt anyone there..but yes, all should be kept on the track..because side streets definatly arent good for it, god knows what kind of potholes/damage has done to the road

HOLY S**T!!!!! That dude was dumb. Street racing on a residential road with a passenger. And then lets make sure we get a contour and tempo mixed up.

Your right, they did make a turbo tempo back in the late 80's I do believe. I seen one at work the other day. So I know they exist.

I used to have a tempo b4 the contour ww.tempotopaz.com is there forums.. As there is no aftermarket for the tempo the people here have come up w/ many good ideas. I used the site to build a hoe made cold air intake on my lil 4cy w/ a stick// But alot of peopel w/ the vulcan 6cyl in a 5 speed did some nice modifications those vulcans are quick and w/ a little creative they are a big time sleeper. Some duder on the forums put a sho engine tranny in his topaz that car is damn fast.. but i liek my conout 32423423423 million times more than the tempo
99 Silver frost Contour LX ztec.. 35% tints all around.. Aiwa Deck w/ Infinity reference all around......
