Does anyone know if Sears Point is still doing Wednesday night drags? If so, we should try to meet up there one of these days to see how we do against each other and all of the rice rockets that go there

Sears Point is about 30 minutes away once you go over the Golden Gate Bridge. I don't know what time it starts but i think that the first event is on March 14th. They have different categories that you can race in and you can even race against the highway pattol. Oh, it only costs like 20 bucks so its inexpensive.

Sears point is awesome.
It's in Sonoma, in the North Bay up by Napa. It's right by Marine World if you know where that is.

Anyways, they open the gates at like 5 or so. Get their early, the more runs the better.

It's 17 to race, 10 to watch.

They open March 7th, and it's just about every Wednesday night. They have a calendar at their website, www.searspoint.com .

I'll definately be going sometime later this month, or beginning of April.

You never really get to race the cops, they race against each other. The chevy's pull low 15's, the fords lows 16's, its nothin special.

Some of the imports there are fast, watch out. Just about all the domestics are even faster.

So we gonna head down there sometime?

Sounds like fun, I guess you gotta have your first quarter mile sometime.... I'd just hate to loose to some ricer on my first time out. Going to need some launching tips.

Well I think that just took me away from the whole Sears point thing. No way can I get off work early enough to drive 2 hours away in rush hour traffic. That sucks...is there any weekend things cause I will never make it on a Wednesday night.

There is a Honda CRX that can run 10's in the 1/4 mile. I used to go out there with my T/A. The boys with the muscle cars get pissed. The ricers invest alot of money in there cars they put an oversized twin turbo. That muscle cars wins of the line but once the turbos kick in the rice will win.

the only time cars like ours get to race are on wednesdays.
what time do you get off work? They don't start eliminations until 7 to 7:30. you can come anytime before then and they'll let you run.
