Hi All,
I am planning to sell my 98.5 E1 SVT sometime in late Jan.
It has 44k on the clock and is in really good condition save for some rock chips on the front bumper. All of that damn freeway driving in Sac. I attended the last meet and I believe that other people can attest that the car is in good condition.
I have a few aftermarket parts:
Clifford IQ 700 with Clifford IQ Smart Battery Backup. Pioneer DEH7200 CD player Infinity 5x7 in front and rear door SoundStream Amp
SCA- Catback exhaust KKM H&R springs
I also have the stock deck, speakers, and springs.
I am asking $14,500. Before I put it in the paper I want to see if a real 'tour enthusiast will take it off my hands. I am selling because I will be taking delivery of another car in April/May.
Anybody planning a meet soon, I would like to have one last fling in the car before I get rid of it.
If you know of anyone that is interested please have them contact me at: darrent@cginc.com
Thanks, Darren.

It was a really clean car. The SCA exhaust was definately a nice touch once heard in person, and once warm. Saturn- It's a ncie ride. Sounds like a much better find than that other one. What you gonna be pickin up as a replacement?

Stinger00- Thanks for the compliments on my car. As far as a replacement I am awaiting delievery on a E46M3.
According to my dealer I should be picking out colors/options in late Jan./early Feb. and delivery will be in late April/May. Not really holding my breath. BMWNA has had this car on delay for a long time now. As soon as I get to spec out my car, I will sell to 'tour.
I am still keeping my E36M3 as my track car though. We still need to get out there on the track.
-Darren.

Stinger00 -
Definately have some info for you guys on autocrossing/road racing.
There are really just two options that I know of:
1) SCCA. They have local chapters all over the place. I believe the SF chapter holds most of there events at the Oak. Colisieum. This is are real nice place to start. No risk to the car and you can drive fast enought to learn the limits of your car.
2) NASA. They have what they call HPDE (High Performance Driving Events) This is where you take YOUR car out on local race tracks. Sears Point, Thunder Hill, etc. They will assign you a mentor if you like that will teach you and help you along. NO SPEED limits.
I recommend starting with option 1 first. Its low cost and there is no risk to your car. Option 2 gets more expensive. $25 annual membership and about $150-175 per event. Plus you could total your car. It very, very rarely happens but it does happen!
I have a small group of people(15) that I go with to both types of events. I don't make every event but I do what my budget will allow. You are always welcome to join us if you want. We mostly do Sac. events though. Although we are going to try to make a NASA event out at Sears Point this year. I hope I don't wreck my car. I just need to stay within my limits.
You can get sign up information via the net. Just search on either organization.
You can reach me via email: darrent@cginc.com
