Well I had my car into the shop for a dash replacement. It wasn't for dash warp, but for bubbles forming in the dash surface (3rd dash for this car). I also had it in for the power steering pump and a squeeky right rear.
Anyway I dropped it off Monday morning at 7:30am with an appointment. I get a call Monday around 3:30pm stating they had been busy that day and my car was just about to go in. Tuesday I recieved a call around 3:30pm again and my service rep told me that they were still working on the car. Wednesday I go down there around 2pm to find out the status on my car. The dash had been replaced and they did a good job, but they hadn't had a chance to look at the p/s pump yet. I left a little displeased at this point. They knew my deadline was Wednesday evening.
I came back around 5pm that evening to try and pick the car up. They still had not looked at the p/s pump, but it was in the shop. About 30min later I noticed the techs started to check it out. A few minutes later they come back and tell the service rep that the pump is bad and they'll have to get another one. I decided to take the car that night and bring it back the following morning (today).
The first thing I noticed on the car was the fact the window was filthy with some substance running down it. I got out and touched it and it was oil!!! I looked the car over and found it was all over the roof on the side windows, rear window, and trunk lid. It looks like they took it for a drive and someones engine blew up right in front of them.
This morning when I dropped the car off I talked to my service advisor and told her that this was not there when I dropped the car off and I wanted to find out what happened to my car. So far no call. On top of it all my trip meter was reset, and my radio stations had been reprogramed on FM1 and FM2. Mind you the stations were programmed after they disconnected the battery (since the clock was totally wrong). When I go back tonight I'm going to check what the mileage was when I dropped it off. This will be the LAST time that THOMASON FORD sees my car, off to find a new service department.
Sorry for the rambling...I'm frustrated...4days for about 1.5 days of work and the exterior of the car is trashed.

Just called for an update...here are the exact words:
"We have determined that the oil was not from your car. It was probably from another car in the shop."
#%$#@$%$#@@^%#^$#%^#^%$
I really wanted to chew someone out for that. No $#@% it wasn't from my car. What the hell is someone elses oil doing on my car!!!! It is just mind boggling as to why they wouldn't clean it off! No, they let me pick it up thinking I won't noticed my oil bathed car.
Wow, I need some advice on a new Service Department...Ford is going to hear about this one.

Jesus man, I hope they have your car done by the 10th! Thanks for posting this stuff...I'll never go there for service! Back in January I went there looking for the 9mm plug wires for my SVT. They very rudely told me that they didn't make them, even though I had the part number in my hand! Geez.

I went to Courtesy Ford in East Portland the last time my CEL was on. Turned out to be a mis-fire on plug 5. They wanted to charge a mint for the tune-up as well as a fuel injector service! I declined and tuned it up myself. That's when I was hunting for the 9mm wires. I picked those up at some speed shop off of I-84 and got the Motorcraft Double Platinum plugs here in Vancouver. Runs very well! At any rate, the guys over at Courtesy were polite. I would take my car there for major service.

If your car is out of warranty...or in my case, your Ford dealer has cancelled your warranty, then you guys need to find a mechanic that you can trust. There is no other reason to take it to Ford. Every good garage has the diagnostic tools, are probably cheaper (here in Vanc, Ford dealer is $94 CDN per hour, my guy is $67 CDN per hour)...Try a local speed shop, these guys usually have no problems working on the cars....especially if you are using aftermarket parts anyways... I could bore you with horror stories (two days to get suspension aligned, a 1 hour job at best) about the dealer but you get the point.

I got my car back today finally. Still had oil all over it even though they promised to wash it before I picked it up, obviously they didn't. But it is clean now and ready to Autox this weekend.
Anyway, I have votes from a couple forums for Courtesy. I'll try them next. Also had a vote for McKenzie Ford in Hillsboro.
I'll start writing letters tomorrow to the dealership. This was just rediculous.
Thanks for the suggestions guys!
