There are quite a few in the adds here in Oregon too.
I think that most people that aren't enthusiasts have a hard time maintaining thier Contours. You have to admit that these are not easy cars to keep. For the typical person that just like the way the car looked it is a big hassle dealing with all of the little issues these cars have. For instance I've only owned mine for 5 months and it has been in the shop almost as many times. (I think this time for the power steering pump and the dash will be the 5th). Mind you my car is brand new. I can definitely understand how that would put a bitter taste in a typical persons mouth. I hope that these cars eventually end up in enthusiasts hands, but that is very doubtful.
Though there are some of us either getting rid of or eventually getting rid of our Contours to move on to something else. I know I aways have a need for change, but I don't see that happening any time soon. I wouldn't pass up the chance to jump into an M3 or some other enthusiast car when the time comes. The Contour is great, but there are always new challenges waiting!
