Anyone out here paying attention to the DMD discussions, found here. Just curious what you all think. Sounds like a must if ford Europe is using these on all their Mondeo engines.

Hey OTTOMATIC,

I installed a DMD and feel a definite improvement in "smoothness" of the engine. As many folks have said..if Ford went to the trouble and expense to develop this piece, you can be assured it is needed. It may very well be a factor in the failure of several engines talked about here (the forums)in recent years. When I installed it, I took the time to document the install...here is a link... I would certainly recommend one and also would recommend purchasing it from Mr Haines. I did and was pleased with the fast delivery and reasonable price...as I recall $128.?? shipped.

Forgive my ignorance. What is 'DMD' and what exactly does it do? Looks like some sort of pulley??

do a search in the general forum, maybe general mods, for DMD and you'll find googles of info.
