So my buddy's dad is a radiologist. He hasn't driven anything but a Porsche since 1974. Yesterday, he pulled the trigger on the baddest of the bad as far as Porsches go. Well, one step down from the baddest of the bad.
I went over to his house and there, sitting in the driveway was an absolutely SICK looking silver '02 Turbo with black 18" Techart wheels. N A S T Y. It has the outrageously expensive aero kit with the front splitter and rear biplane wing (eat your heart out, Steve Saleen), full carbon interior, carbon fiber STEERING WHEEL, etc. $142,000. Owie. More than my house, haha! What a freaking car though. His son recently sold a '97 993TT and that was the quickest car I'd driven at that point. This one is EASILY as quick/fast as the previous generation. THe level of thrust the thing produces is beyond comprehension. It will literally make the uninitiated grown man a)scream with delight b)scream with fear or c)want one REALLY REALLY bad.
I've got to go back to school now so I can become a doctor. MUST-GET-NEW-PORSCHE-TURBO...

The 911 has always been my favorite car. I once drove a Carerra with a six-speed. WOW! Not even a Turbo and fast! One of these days...

One of these days ... you'll have enough money saved up to buy the car, but you'll be so old you would rather a Mercedes-Benz or Lincoln Continental before getting a fast car.

Ain't that always the case

At any rate, I'd like a 1992 Porsche 911, if I ever got a Porsche. Something about that year ('91-92) model I just love. I don't know why...

It has spent 1.5 years under the wrong identity ;-)
