Mike, that's pushing it a little, you know.. wink

If you balance the death toll actually caused by wearing a seatbelt, versus the lives it actually saved you'll see that it's an invaluable life saving device. That said, if you're wearing one, being in a given car with or without airbag probably makes little difference in your life expectancy. Maybe the airbag will save you a concussion, or some scratches... maybe it'll cause more?? Dunno..

Bottom line, I wouldn't have a problem doing away with it. But I always wear my seatbelt, my seat is properly adjusted (no lowrider cruising laid-back for me..) and I adjust the shoulder restraint correctly. I think if that doesn't save my life nothing will.

You do not need an airbag of course. And if you are not wearing your seatbelt, it is prolly better than you won't have an airbag.

how much is the sparco hub? I may be interested in getting one of those too! the focus hub from sparco will fit, because my SCA hub fits the contour without a problem!

might want to check this place out
www.tekniqauto.com

they have a nice theft deterrent steering wheel setup.

they says they stock adapters to fit jsut about everything, so if they don't have one for the tour, maybe a focus one would work.

email them and find out...they are pretty quick at returning email...i talked with them about heel plates for my floor mats a few weeks back.

I was seriously thinking about getting the snap-of system with a momo, but there are some other things i'm trying to get before i drop loot on that.

also does anyone know if you will pass inspection in NJ if you replace an airbag steering wheel with a non-airbag wheel?
I've heard both yes and no??
