after a lengthy search, i cannot find anything on an exact place to buy touch-up paint that will match my color exactly. i have a deep blue 98SE sport with some nicks on it that i want to touch up. i want to know where i can find it and how much its going to run me. also, is there anything else i should know about how to do it besides: 1. wash 2. apply paint? ive never done this before, or even had a car that i would car to do it too... heh, this is my first baby. TIA.

im doin a 100 on the highway... so if you do the speed limit get the f*** out of my way.

Well, nothing is going to match your paint exactly, since you've probably experienced some fading or whatever. If it's just little nicks and stuff, don't worry about that too much. Parts stores have Plastikote (sp?), and that matches closely. The only way I can see getting an exact match to the actual color of your car now is to have a paint shop or body shop mix some for you, and chances are that'll be expensive.

And since you're just repairing nicks I don't see a reason why you should need to sand down and go through the whole thing, so just wash down and brush the touch-up on there.

Go to a Ford dealer. They should be able to sell you matching touch up paint...but it won't be that cheap. wink
