Hi all,

As I was picking up the A6/Passat side markers (part numbers from the FAQ) and harness/bulbs for my SVT today I noticed that the new 2002 A6's have clear side markers. They appear to measure up to the old A6 markers and the old harness clipped in like a glove so I ordered a set. They look so much better than the smoked lense signals. I will post later informing you on how they configure. Oh, the part number for anyone interested in the clear signal is 8E0-949-127.

Later,

I have the older A4 markers that look like crap compared to the new A6 markers. I'm curious wether the wiring is the same and how difficult it would be to change...

Definately keep us in the loop on this one!

Are the "new" clear ones different then the clear ones that I got from Audi a year ago?

Yeah, I guess I didn't word that too well.

What I meant was, I was curious as to wether they drew the same amount of juice as the older A4 markers I have, and wether there would be any sheetmetal work to mount them due to there size difference.

Sorry for being vague.

The sidemarkers will not fit the Contour without significant body panel modification. Unlike the older Audi sidemarker, the new one is bowl shaped along the back. The marker cannot be trimmed to fit. Gotta stick with the FAQ ones.
