I got 5% on the rear 2 and 45% on the front two. I was told that the actual film is cheap as dirt, but that most of the cost is the labor and they will likely charge you more if they have to clean the windows a lot beforehand.

I am in CA and anything on the fronts is a ticket. Cost me $145 in Burbank and it has not deteriorated at all in the 18 months I've had it. You do have problems at night with lighting problems (mostly when backing up).

Only been pulled over twice in the car - 1st time I had the windows down and he didn't notice or care; second time I hade my stereo blazing and the front windows were only showing about an inch - I got a ticket for them. BTW - the ticket for the windows was more than my speeding ticket... but that might just be a CA thing.

Have you put in your $0.02 to save contour.org?? Put in what you can spare to keep the site up. Check the General Forum.

I got my CD2 kit at my local Target store on clearance!!! Just be careful when you spray the cleaner and detailer on to not get any of it on your paint or plastic cowl. Spots will form and it's a PITA to get them off. The results are excellent and the engine still shines after 1 month! All of the hoses look great and it supposedly conditions them to prevent cracking. Not sure about that, but they definetly look great!

On a similar tangent, I didn't cover anything with plastic. I just kept the car running while I hosed the engine off. We don't have a distributor cap to worry about since all Contours have a distributorless ignition system. Just don't saturate the alternator or battery terminals and you should be OK. Just follow the directions and you should get excellent results! laugh

BBorges,
There's a Target right in Manchester, CT near the Buckland Hills Mall (exit 62 off 84 East). Don't know if you're close to Hartford, but I thought I'd let you know. Also, there's one up in Holyoke at the Ingelside Mall (exit 15 off 91 North). I was just there and they are going for $5.99 for the pair. Good Luck!

Also, there are Targets in New Britain and Meriden according to their website.

Don't they sell products online ???

I can't find CD-2 under their website...

the search returns only music Cd products...

I'l do that... I'll step tonight at BJs' to see if they have it... If not I'll be hiring you Salvi to buy my a couple... if you want to do that of course...

I rather buy that from you and give u some extra $$ than give it to those bloodsuckers...

Sure, I'll be in Hartford tomorrow and Wednesday from 12-6 pm. If you don't find any, let me know and I'll buy a pack up here and either ship it to you or we can arrange to meet somewhere in Hartford. Let me know what you want to do. BTW, where in CT are you? Later!

Tinting cost me 225 for 5 windows on my 95 GL. Just don't do it yourself unless you really know what you're doing. It looks easy, but its not, and it will look crappy. Also, I would highly recommend staying within the legal tinting regulations for your state. Cops will pull you over and give you a nice ticket if it's too dark, and you will have to take it off unless you want to pay the ticket.
