Ever since I put on my new rims, the space in between the tire and the wheel well has been noticably bigger in the front than in the back. I have noticed this phenomena on other contours in these forums as well. Why does this happen, and can it be fixed? I like the height in the back, and would like to lower just the front to be even with the back. Here is a picture (little fuzzy) of my car from the side showing the disparity:

The front might not necessarily be higher. The front wheelwell is bigger then the rear (on pretty much every car). Thats probably whats making it look higher.

Though, if your stereo equipment is very heavy, it would cause the rear to sag. frown

Ever replace the rear suspension? You might want to check, because it may need it!

As for stereo equipment, I have a single 12", and a medium sized amp. I do not think this is the factor, although I could be wrong. As for a suspension replacement, the car has ~59000 miles on it, so that may or may not be an issue. Very interesting thoughts, though, and I will examine them both. Thanks for your insight.

All Contiques are like that. If you trace The line of the door ding strips you will see that the front wheel well is cut higher than the rear. This makes the front end look higher even though the springs may be the same length or whatever. Any lowering springs will fix that for you. H&R's will lower the front a lot while keeping the rear almost stock height, or so I hear.
