i actually did this a few months ago, but was too busy and lazy to post about it...
I always liked the wiper spoiler that was on my GTi.
On the A2 cars it is physically connected to the wiper arm. Then recently i noticed that a much sleeker one came on the Audi A4. It appeared to be simply clipped to the wiper blade assembly. sweet!
I went to my friendly VW parts guy and inquired about it. It comes only attached to the whole blade assembly. The audi part was $45 delivered to the dealer.
I didn't want to pay that, so i walked. Then on the way out i noticed the 1.8t VWs had them too. hmmm...
I asked how much the VW part was. $17.75, $19.17 delivered. Same part number (3A1-955-425), same part, half price! gotta love VAG.
Well, the spoiler itself is actually screwed onto the special blade assembly, torx T-10, in two places.
The VW blade is 550mm in length. The SVT driver's blade is supposed to be 22". Well, i could have just used the VW blade (yes it fits the arm), but i didn't want to give up my precious 8.8mm of coverage, not to mention the VW blade wasn't nearly as nice as my Bosch Micro Edge Excel. So i made it fit on my blade assembly.
It wouldn't fit directly, i had to mod one of the clip areas and i glued it on using clear silicone.
It looks and works GREAT! no more blade fly-away at high speed!
