My paint has all sorts of crap that I can't get off on it. They're light white marks, not scratches.. tired not describing too good. anybody know what will take these out?

does it look like dried mud that is all cracked up...or just marks that look like their from something plastic

Neither,, it's like spots. caused by wax or sap or water spots or something

It is most likely acid rain spots which are hard to get off. But it could be from getting wet and the wax drying differently. Try to buff it out, if that doesn't work, I will try to find out what will.

Not acid rain..it doesn't rain much in south ga(car has always lived here, atleast according to carfax) but when it does it's not acidy. there are wax deposits along door edges and such, that's why i think it might be wax. i don't have a buffer,, do go through too much trouble, i'll eventually find out...

Also try to wawsh it with DAWN soap, that should get ALL the wax off the paint.

Either use the mothers 3 step system for clearcoat paint or mequirs x scratch remover/polish

Sounds like something I have on my car. How big are the spots? I think it may be from bird s**t. I am trying to get ahold of the Meguiars professional line of products to see if they work. I tried the ScratchX and it worked on alot of stuff but not this.

Is it possible that your paint is checking? A problem with ford cars is than from about 95-98 they were putting way too much paint on the cars.When you do that the paint will eventually start to show small tiny starburst cracks in the paint. Wax will get in them and on a dark car look like hell. And the sun will actually make the car worse. I've seen some cars with checking on one side and on the other the paint is perfect. There is unfortunately only one sure cure...strip to bare metal and repaint. Hope you arent at that point. good luck. :p
