I know there is a how-to in the mods section, but it is for a pst-98 and I need one(how-to) for my pre-98.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

It's actually quite simple. there are 3 screws in the armrest storage part and then I believe there are 2 screws on either side of the console under the dash, (have snap on covers on them) and then 2 underneath radio. I think you have to take out the box thingy under the radio and the trim filler piece above it. There's 2 more screws up in there. The hardest part is manuevering it around the parking break and the shifter. But it is only held in w/ IIRC 9 screws

I got the thre in the arrrrrrrrrmrest, the two on each side of the console near the floorboards, and I unscrewed two behind a flap below the radio but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

hmmmmmm. That's all that's holding it in. I dunno...... I do remember having to engage the parking break, lifting up the back of the console to get it over the lever and then releasing the parking break and pulling it back all the while twisting it to get it over the shifter. will i not lift up at all anywhere?

It lifts up everywhere except right under the part below the radio, everything all the way up to it will come up.

Went and looked at mine (97) there is 1 screw on either side under the dash that has to come out, 2 under the radio and 3 in the storage compartment and the whole thing should lift out.

your's must just like being stubborn...

Are they a lil ways back towards the firewall or near the front opening? I saw 2 a lil ways back and I didnt think they were part of it.

Ya, those other ones aren't part of it. Only the ones closest to front opening should have to come out. I think I removed them too before realizing that they didn't have to come out.
