Well it is pretty simple. I have never tried it but I'm sure it would work is just pull off the knob(no trick to them just pull) and put the overlay on (this is if you get the $15 deal)and put the knobs back on. Only reason I say this is because the $15 overlay is just thin plastic. If you get Brad Noon's version (I don't know if he sells them right now) it replaces the stock one (is thicker and not the same material as the $15 one) so you have to take out all the screws on trim under the HVAC and the radio (all philips head, a lot easier if you have a short one too) and pull the trim off (has clips in the front). Pull the knobs, pull off the stock overlay, stick on BNs overlay, put the knobs back in and reattach the trim piece. I hope this helps.
