This is a dumb question but do i have to do anything to keep my hood in good shape after removing the hood liner?
will it cause anyproblems in the future ?

Besides the looks, is there any benefit??

You can hear the engine a little better. Mine never had the hoodliner, so it shouldnt be bad for the hood.

i think too that it will reduce the engine temp by allowing more air movement under the hood. it acts like a blanket keeping heat in. i cant image it retains that much heat though. take it off, and if you think it is more benifical to have it just put it back on. peace.

Take out the hood liner and the wheather strip at the back of the engine bay too. they both just pop right out. Try not to break the hood liner when you remove it, it's a little brittle.

The only real benefit is a little cooler under-hood temp...and 3 less lbs of weight.

Now if you have a KKM intake like I do, it's more of a benefit 'cuz you can hear that sweet intake even more... laugh
