I need to paint some things under the hood, car is sliverfrost, but the paint under the hood looks grey, kind of flat no metalic at all, is it silverfroat paint without clear coat or what? Need to try and match it.

Thanks Eddie

It's bare aluminum. Paint won't last under the hood, regardless. Powdercoat it.

I think that is incorrect. You can paint under hood. Pascal had his hood painted and the outside of the engine bay painted an it looked great.

WOW! They made our cars out of Aluminium! And here all this time I thought it was stamped steel!

LOL @ Lee.. laugh Hehe..

Antonio is right, I got the underside of my hood, the inner fender seams, the rad support and the header panel painted last time I was getting some work done. I didn't have them touch the strut towers since I didn't want them to start moving wiring around to get to things.

It still improved the look, and made it a helluva lot easier to clean!

I'll take a few pics of that shiz when I have a minute, stay tuned.. laugh

Eddie Weber: This is NOT Silver Frost without the clearcoat. It's the sealer/primer that they apply at the factory on the bare frame. They actually paint the cars with the hood and trunk closed later down the line.. hence the "unfinished" look.

After reading another post I took the post to mean things like cam covers and the intake manifold. No need for such remarks...
