just an FYI, DOC recommends splics connectors, but if you're in a pinch like I was, I had splice connectors but they were too small....very little slack to work with as well, I just inserted the bare end of the red wire into the back of the connector for the headlight switch, same difference..but no cutting wires and stuff...easy removal if needed. Just secure it well...my conscience was telling me to solder it but my trusty electrical tape did the job. For a ground, you can use anything metal pretty much. I tried using a steering column bolt, but wouldn't work...I found a black torx screw that I used. No problems...would have been 100x easier to find a good ground if I could get that stupid panel off under the dash...but that's another story.

I just finished wiring it today. I used a steering column bolt. Damn, those things are on tight. Use a ratchet for leverage. I used a butt connector, try the blue ones. Don't try to do the splicing with the wires sticking out of the headlight switch. Stick the switch back through the hole and down under the dash. This gave me much more room for me to work physically as well as better access to the wires.

well, i know this is not the way cardoc suggested to it but this is the way i did it. i spliced into the big plug in the back of the guage cluster. if i remember i used the 4th to last and last wire. by doing this, i can dim the indiglos from my stock dimmer instead of my indiglo dimmer so it works as if they were OEM. but i guess i voided my indiglo warrenty by doing it, woopsie! frown he said it would blow my indiglos because of the resistance or soemthing. oh well, 2 weeks and still running strong! smile
