originaly posted by louisw: I bet HIDs would look great with those projectors.
The projectors I installed are the HID xenon, The ballasts were connected to the underside of the Audi headlamp. and they have Osram "bulbs" they are VERY blue when turned on but 15 sec later they turn extremely white. I will take some photos of them at night but I have no other car to compare to. and louisw you don't wan't to see the mess I made of the backside! There is an insane amount of silicone on back because I am not as good at manufacturing as I am at cutting things. and these projectors are way too deep for the original housings so they stick out and had to be sealed yet still stay movable to adjust. it was 2 days work well worth it.

That's really cool, I just posted a letter this morning about the same thing. Check it out: http://www.contour.org/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=40;t=002509

I too, used A6 projector units complete, out of a donor car. Swap WAS difficult too, but WELL worth it

Mine is a '95 Contour SE, by the way.

Anyways, looks really nice, I always wondered if there were any other Contours out there with this upgrade:)

'95 CONTOUR SE
-Enkei 16s
-Porsche944 Exhaust tip
- Audi xenon projector headlights
-Peterbilt 30" air horns
-mp3 Aiwa headunit (150 songs on one disc)
-dual 10s
-soon to have LED tailights (real kind, not just gay bulbs)
-That's it for now

Hey josch I wondered if anyone here had found your pictures yet! I stumbled across your website durring wee hours of the morning and within 2 hrs had ordered mine off e-bay! Nice job, you used much more skill than me ,I just used force (and glue)! I wish I could have found some post here to tell me a "good" way to remove the clear lens, but I couldn't so I did BAD [cut~~grind~cut~grind~grind~grind~pprrrryyy!~swear~cut~bend~BREAK~pull~throw~yell~cut~pry]...............x2
