OK before winter i put on a 3 stage mothers coat of wax, So now that summer is here i'm wondering if i should just put on that 3rd stage of wax or start at the 2nd stage which is a sealer and polish and 3rd would be a wax, The first is a stripper FYI.
Thanks

Well it depends. If you are using Meguairs I do suggest you strip the car with dawn and restart the whole process again. I don't care what Roger R says Meguairs Gold Class does not last longer then a few weeks(2-3 washes) at the most. If you have Zaino then just wash the car and apply a few coats of Z-5 since you have a green SVT, and you will be blinding traffic. -Antonio

Damn, I'm getting tired of all of you Zaino idiots.. Carnuba is not inferior. In fact, on a dark colored car, Zaino doesn't even give you the deepest shine. Most people get high off of Z6, and forget the facts. Pinnacle Souveran is what it's all about, though it's not exactly cheap. But don't take my word for it, check out this forum that's dedicated to car detailing, and frequented by detailers from around the country: http://www.autopia-carport.com/forums/sh...9&threadid=9419

Carnuba does look good on many cars, but there is no way it lasts all winter.
And yes, we are high on Z6...

Isn't Zaino more of a sealant than a polish? I guess it depends on the definition of a polish, but I thought polishes were abrasive which Zaino is not.

(Don't let my registration date fool you - I've been on for CEG for several years.) If it bothers you that much then STFU and don't reply - pretty simple. Slim: Since it's been many months since your last waxing, you should probably strip it dow with a dishwashing detergent and start over. This way you are sure to get rid of all the contaminants, get to the swirls, and get a good polish and wax. Good luck.
