has anyone taken all the emblems and moldings off their cars, i'd like to do this to the car. maybe not the moldings, but emblems definitly. any tips on doing this? or is it pretty straight forward, pull off and remove the extra gunk.

Its pretty simple.. Get some fishing line, goo gone and mabe gloves so you don't hurt your hands.

Yeah be careful when you pull of the door ding guards. Some of us(myself included) had problems with the clear coat. frown

yah I had probs with my clear caot too :rolleyes:
oh well that little bit of fadedness isn't that noticeable.
Do you thing that the clear coat prob has anything to do with the age of the car?

Not with mine. My car is a 99 and one side looks sweet and the other side looks like they put the door ding guards on before the clear coat was dry. frown

Under the badge on the fender is a hole. You can either have it filled and painted, or put in sidemarkers (like I did).
Just so you know.

I've removed all emblems and ding guards. Be aware of your paint job before removing the emblems, just remove a corner at first to check the paint condition underneath. Fishing line helps, make sure you have bug a tar remover around to get the extra gunk off.

i had no idea there was holes under the side emblems on the front fender, i'll have to look into the sidemarkers.
i'll probably leave the ding gaurds on, (tards in parkinglots wiping open doors)

Do you any of you know how to remove the ford emblem on the trunk (to replace w/ another emblem). Want to put a ford emblem in that the blue lights up.
